Holy Spirit Devotional ("the App", "we", "our") is a Christian devotional companion app developed by AppBuildTools. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control or delete it.
By using the App you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you disagree, please stop using the App and contact us to request deletion of any data already stored.

We do not sell your data to any third party. We do not use your data to profile or target you for anything outside this App.

When you use the AI chat feature, your messages are sent to Google's Gemini API or Groq's API for processing. These providers may use messages to improve their models according to their own policies. We recommend not sharing sensitive personal information in AI chat.

🔑 6. Your Rights & Account Deletion
You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data at any time. You can exercise these rights in two ways:
Option A — In-App (instant):
- Open the App → tap your profile icon or go to Settings.
- Tap "Delete Account".
- Confirm the action.
- Your Firebase Auth account, Firestore journal, and favorites are permanently deleted within seconds. This action is irreversible.
Option B — Web form (no app required):
- Visit our Data Deletion Request form →
- Enter the email address associated with your account and submit.
- We will complete the deletion within 30 days and confirm by email.
👶 7. Children's Privacy
This App is rated for general audiences and is not specifically directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal data, please contact us at milarock10520@gmail.com and we will delete it promptly.
📢 8. Advertising & Consent (UMP)
Free-tier users may see ads served by Google AdMob. The App uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to collect your consent before serving personalized ads, in compliance with GDPR and CCPA.
You can change your ad preferences at any time from the App's settings menu ("Manage Ad Preferences" or equivalent). Choosing non-personalized ads does not reduce the number of ads shown — only their relevance.
Pro subscribers do not see ads and no Advertising ID is collected for ad purposes on their account.
🔒 9. Security
We use industry-standard practices to protect your data:
- All data in transit uses HTTPS/TLS.
- Firebase Firestore access is restricted by server-side security rules — your data is only readable by your authenticated account.
- We do not store API keys or payment credentials in our database.
- AI messages are transmitted directly to providers over encrypted channels and are not stored on our servers.

📝 10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, by showing a notice inside the App.
Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
